About Ryan Cosentino-Roush

Ryan Cosentino-Roush is a commercial and fine art documentary photographer based in San Jose, California. For over two decades, he has been documenting the evolving environments and cultural landscapes of the San Francisco Bay Area.

A graduate of San José State University with a BFA in Photography, Ryan developed a deep appreciation for storytelling through imagery. His early documentary work taught him to observe closely, respond instinctively, and connect with his subjects—often finding comfort and authenticity in people who are unaccustomed to being photographed.

After college, Ryan brought his documentary sensibility into the commercial photography world. Working with major studios such as GAP Inc. and The Men’s Wearhouse, he honed his technical mastery of studio lighting and refined his ability to create striking, professional-grade imagery. His experience in corporate fashion photography has further sharpened his eye for composition, light, and human presence.

Today, Ryan continues to work professionally in studio photography while pursuing his long-term documentary project exploring the changing face of the Bay Area.
